Reclassification from Commercial to Residential

  • Change of customer rate schedule refers to the process of changing the customer’s rate classification from commercial to residential.

STEPS:

1. Prepare the required documents

Account Name

Basic Required Documents
PERSONAL
  • Original copy of Electrical Permit with endorsement from OBO (Office of the Building Officials)
  • Load Listing
  • Valid Government-Issued ID
  • Proof of ownership for both structure and lot 
    • If Acquired Properties:
      • Land title
      • Tax Declaration
      • Deed of Sale
      • Certificate of Occupancy
    • If Government owned lot (Informal settlers)
      • Certificate of residency (lot)
      • Affidavit of Undertaking (c/o DU)
    • For Subdivision or Condominium
      • Deed of Sale
      • Contract to Sell with Certificate from the Developer Authority to Move In
      • Condominium Certificate of Title
  • If applicant is not available to sign the Electric Service Agreement and Data Privacy Form )
    • Notarized Special Power of Attorney
    • Valid Government-Issued ID of authorized representative
  • Pay the required Bill Deposit
  • Settle any outstanding balance of the existing account
LESSEE
  • Original copy of Electrical Permit with endorsement from OBO (Office of the Building Officials)
  • Load Listing
  • Valid Government-Issued ID
  • If Leased Property:
    • Copy of Contract of Lease
    • 1 Valid Government-Issued ID of the Lessor
  • If applicant is not available to sign the Electric Service Agreement and Data Privacy Form )
    • Notarized Special Power of Attorney
    • Valid Government-Issued ID of authorized representative
  • Pay the required Bill Deposit
  • Settle any outstanding balance of the existing account
IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBER (Parents, Children, Siblings)
  • Valid Government-Issued ID
  • Proof of ownership for both structure and lot 
    • If Acquired Properties:
      • Land title
      • Tax Declaration
      • Deed of Sale
      • Certificate of Occupancy
    • If Donated Properties
      • Deed of donation
    • If Government owned lot (Informal settlers)
      • Certificate of residency (lot)
      • Affidavit of Undertaking (c/o DU)
  • If applicant is not available to sign the Electric Service Agreement and Data Privacy Form )
    • Notarized Special Power of Attorney
    • Valid Government-Issued ID of authorized representative
  • Pay the required Bill Deposit
  • Settle any outstanding balance of the existing account
RELATIVES
  • Valid Government-Issued ID of the applicant
  • Copy of any proof of ownership
    • If Donated Properties
      • Deed of donation
    • If Inherited Properties
      • Extra-judicial partition or Affidavit of legal heirs
      • Authorization from the majority of the legal heirs
      • Valid Government-Issued IDs of the legal heirs that executed the Authorization
  • Consent letter from previous account holder w/ a Valid Government-Issued ID
    • If previous account holder is no longer available - Affidavit stating the intention to revert the account to the original holder and affirming that any future ownership disputes will be resolved privately
  • If applicant is not available to sign the Electric Service Agreement and Data Privacy Form )
    • Notarized Special Power of Attorney
    • Valid Government-Issued ID of authorized representative
  • Pay the required Bill Deposit
  • Settle any outstanding balance of the existing account
SPOUSE TO SPOUSE
  • Marriage contract/certificate
  • Authorization or consent letter from account holder
  • Valid Government-Issued ID of the applicant
  • Valid Government-Issued ID of the account holder
  • Pay the required Bill Deposit
  • Settle any outstanding balance of the existing account

 

2. Present the required document through any of the following channels: 

2. Site Survey

  • A request for verification on site will follow 5-7 working days

4. Payment, Agreement & Documents Submission

  • Pay Required Deposit: Once the inspection is approved, update your bill deposit based on the inspection result at any authorized payment or service center.

  • Submission of Documents and Sign Contract: Submit the documents and Sign a new Electric Service Agreement at any of our Service Center near you.
