What is a Bill Deposit?
A bill deposit is a mandatory security deposit paid by customers when applying for a Visayan Electric power connection. Equivalent to one month's estimated consumption, it is collected during the application for new service or reconnection.
How is my bill deposit calculated?
The amount of the bill deposit is the equivalent of your average monthly bill, which is based on your applied load during service application or modification of service.
How can I get a refund of my bill deposit?
-
Excess Bill Deposit: One (1) year after the payment of your bill deposit, and every year thereafter, if your actual average monthly bill for the preceding 12-month period is less than 10% of your existing bill deposit, your bill deposit shall be decreased to approximate your actual average monthly bill.
